Window washer rescued from hanging scaffolding in DC

WASHINGTON – Crews worked to rescue two people from a hanging scaffolding in Northwest DC Thursday night.

According to a tweet from DC Fire and EMS, the technical rescue happened on 17th and G Street.

Officials say two window cleaners were stuck in the hanging scaffolding.

Video tweeted by Fire and EMS shows firefighters rescuing the window cleaners while half of the scaffolding hangs next to the building.

DC Fire and EMS say both workers were successfully rescued from the hanging scaffolding. None of the workers were injured.

There is no word on what made the scaffolding dangle.
