on Thursday. notable economic events this week: Monday, the Census Bureau releases its report on durable goods for August. On Tuesday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will deliver the keynote address at the 63rd Annual Meeting of the National Association for Business Economics. Also on Tuesday, the Conference Board will release its Consumer Confidence Index for September, and CoreLogic will release the Case-Shiller National Home Price Index for July. On Wednesday, the National Association of Realtors releases its Pending Home Sales Index for August. On Thursday, the Institute for Supply Management will publish the Chicago Purchasing Managers’ Index for September. And on Friday, the Census Bureau reports construction spending data for August.
