Two teenagers have been arrested after a burglary attempt in Stockport.

Police were called around 1.55am on November 2nd.

It happened after reports of two men in the garden of a property.

The couple was then disturbed and subsequently fled the scene.

Following the report, officers were deployed to the area and were able to apprehend two teenage boys aged 16 and 17.

A police dog was also sent to the scene and was able to locate a screwdriver in the property’s garden.

They were both arrested on suspicion of being equipped to steal.

Upon further investigation, the two men were further arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary at another local property.

They remain in custody for questioning and an investigation is underway.
