TikTok is hosting a block party for small businesses

TikTok announced it is hosting its first-ever Small Biz Block Party, a workshop series of 20 events where entrepreneurs come together, discuss tactics and strategies, and learn from each other.

The workshop series are free to attend and are designed to help small business owners come together, learn, network and ultimately grow their business. The first Small Biz Block Party will take place on August 5, 2021.

The event is co-hosted by Main Street America, the non-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities through economic support and development.

Running a successful small business takes hard work and determination at the best of times. The past 18 months have seen enormous pressure on small businesses in almost all industries. From adapting to e-commerce strategies to keeping employees employed, the strength and spirit of the small business community in the US has been commendable.

TikTok’s celebration is an acknowledgment and celebration of the hard work and resilience of small business owners in these unprecedented times.

Becca Sawyer, TikTok’s Global Head of SMB, commented on the purpose of the Small Business Block Party event:

“Businesses of all sizes are using the magic of the TikTok community to reach new audiences and grow their business – be it a startup or an iconic local business.

“Our goal is to give every business owner in America the same opportunities as the biggest brands and help them achieve their dreams,” added Sawyer.

United States Events

The event will take place in Texas on August 12. The next workshop will take place in Texas on August 12, followed by one in North Carolina on August 19. The party will be held on August 26 in Midwest (MO, NE, KS, ND, SD, IA).

Regular TikTok Small Biz Block Parties will also take place in the United States in September, October and November, with the last on November 18, the National Block Party Final.

Free and interactive

All events will be held in conjunction with local organizations from all 50 states. These free interactive workshops are designed to be fun and focused on helping build business communities and help small businesses grow through the TikTok platform.

The Small Biz Block Party events are designed to help small businesses get the most out of TikTok.

Small business owners will also learn how to find and interact with their TikTok community and how to use the measurement and creative tools on TikTok to drive growth and success.
