Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has decided he would like to rejoin Juventus when his contract expires at the end of the season.
This is according to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, as quoted by the Daily Star.
The Frenchman, who is a third of the way through his three-match Premier League expulsion after being sent off against Liverpool just over a week ago, is out of contract in June and United have so far been unable to tie him to a New deal.
However, it is claimed that Pogba has told his agent – Mino Raiola – that he would like to return to Juventus for the second time, despite interest from both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
It is claimed that the midfielder has informed Raiola about his preferred destination, but Juventus will have to relieve two players first to get a deal across the line.
From January, the United midfielder will be free to discuss a pre-contract deal with any interested club outside of England, unless of course he has committed his future to the Reds in advance.
Elsewhere, Barcelona have moved ‘a step closer’ to signing Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek, a report from Sport allegations.
It is rumored that the Spanish giants could be ‘closer’ to landing the Dutchman after a change of agent for the midfielder.
Van de Beek has recently switched representatives, allegedly in an attempt to bolster his chances of leaving Old Trafford in the January transfer window.
The midfielder, who has been limited to a paltry three appearances in all competitions so far this season, will most likely try to force an exit from United in 2022, where his switch from Dutch giants Ajax a little over a year ago proved to be a huge disappointment.
The Dutchman, who was once again an unused substitute in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, was linked with an exit from the club during the summer transfer window, but there was never a move.
Now it is claimed that Barcelona are looking to conclude a deal for the unfavorable United man. However, it has not been reported whether the La Liga team would pursue a permanent deal or a loan transfer to the midfielder.
