Two of the families whose loved ones perished in Kobe Bryant Helicopter Control has just agreed in agreement with LA County on the alleged sharing of images from the crash site of remains – but Vanessa Bryant is still at war.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved $ 2.5 million to be shared between the families of Christine Mauser and Keri, John and Alyssa Altobelli … according to doc. Mauser’s husband, Matthew, gets $ 1.25 million, and Altobelli’s 2 surviving children get the same.
According to the LA Times, which first reported on the settlement, the county attorney suggested settling with the families would be the best way as they continue to handle Vanessa’s lawsuit, and one from Chris Chester … whose wife and children died in the crash.
The business says the lawsuits have already cost LA County an estimated $ 1.29 million in attorney fees.
Meanwhile, Vanessa and Chris’ cases are still pending in court … and may be on trial in the near future. Speaking of them, a judge rejected LA County’s proposal for psychiatric evaluations of Vanessa and Chris, ruling that it was too late in the case.
The county argued that the psychiatric evaluations would help determine if their emotional suffering was actually related to crash pictures that she and the public have never seen.
As we reported, a a total of 9 people including Kobe and Gianna – died in the crash last year.
