INGLEWOOD, California (CNS) – Oregon State will battle Utah State in the inaugural Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl at SoFi Stadium on Dec. 18, officials announced Sunday.
The Beavers were 7-5 this season, finishing third in Pac 12 North and fifth overall in the conference.

The Aggies won the Mountain West Conference with a record of 10-3.
“We are excited to welcome Oregon State and Utah State to our inaugural bowl game,” said Jason Gannon, the game’s CEO. “These two teams will play the first college football game at SoFi Stadium, and we look forward to watching this competitive game on December 18.”
The ABC talk show host announced the game’s official name during his June 16 monologue.
“Ever since I was 52 – which was last year – I’ve dreamed of having a college football bowl game named after me,” Kimmel said after quoting such “memorable, colorful” bowl game names as the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl, Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl, LendingTree Bowl and Cheez-It Bowl.
“I’m glad to announce that the dream is coming true.”
The naming of the game is the result of what was described as “an unprecedented multi-year partnership” between Kimmel and SoFi Stadium. The financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
“Stan Kroenke designed Hollywood Park to be a sports and entertainment destination that Angelenos and visitors from all over the world can enjoy. We can think of no better way to bring sports and entertainment together than by collaborating with the famous host and comedian. Jimmy Kimmel “on our collegiate bowl game,” Gannon said in June, referring to the Los Angeles Rams owner who led the effort to have the stadium built on the former site of the Hollywood Park racetrack.

The Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl presented by Stifel will also benefit community partners One For All, Boys and Girls Club LA Harbor and Boys and Girls Club LA Metro, officials said Sunday.
The match starts at 16.30 and will be broadcast by ABC.
