Girl, 7, shot in Los Angeles intersection

LOS ANGELES, CA – A 7-year-old girl was hospitalized Tuesday night after she was hit by a stray bullet at an intersection in South Los Angeles. The child is expected to survive his injury and investigators have not arrested a suspect in the shooting.

The girl was struck in the foot at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Central Avenue just north of the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway, according to Deputy Director Miguel Meza of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Deputies were called to the scene at. 20.45 and arrived to find the injured child.

She was brought to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood and is hospitalized in stable condition, Meza said.

Authorities did not release suspicious information publicly, and the shooting remained under investigation Tuesday.
