A search is underway for a missing Katanning man whose vehicle was found in floodwaters near Wagin, in the greater southern region of WA.
The region has received record rainfall this season with storms dumping more than 30mm in an hour in some areas.
Local police and rescue services recovered two vehicles submerged in the flood and confirmed the safety of a driver.
But officers have yet to find the other motorist, A Jit Khan, who was driving from Perth to Katanning in a gray Triton tool but did not return home.
The 34-year-old vehicle was placed abandoned after being washed by a flood road on Ballagin Road near the Tarn River, Piesseville around noon. 11:30 Tuesday.
The police have described Mr. Khan as 170 cm tall, tanned skin, slim and black hair.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans, blue jacket and white slippers with black soles.
