Sugstress Ciara and her husband NFL player Russell Wilson promotes their efforts to lift young people and for their latest project to use literature as a source of empowerment. The couple recently announced that they are releasing a children’s book illustrating the beauty of following your dreams, People reported.
The book – with the title Why not you?-created to help young people develop self-efficacy and cultivate a strong sense of self-confidence. The inspiration for the picture book comes from the Superbowl champion and Grammy-winning singer’s old age trips and witnessing the paths of their three children. “In this picture book debut, superstars Ciara and Russell Wilson encourage readers to see themselves achieve their dreams, no matter how outrageous they may seem,” read the book’s description. “It’s a lyrical celebration of self – esteem, perseverance and daring to shoot for the stars.” The book combines powerful words with vivid illustrations created by the artist Jessica Gibson. Why not you?– published under Random House Books for Young Readers is scheduled to hit shelves in March 2022.
Ciara shared that she hopes the book will inspire children to remove self-confidence and bring their ambitions to reality. “As parents of three amazing children, we know how important it is to share the gift of reading with children at an early age,” she said, according to a press release. “Through this book, we hope to not only encourage children around the world to read, but also inspire them to pursue their dreams with a ‘Why Not You’ attitude.”
News of the book comes almost a year after Wilsons made a $ 1.75 million donation through their nonprofit organization Why Not You Foundation – which is focused on promoting children’s education and health initiatives and eradicating poverty – in the direction of a new branding of a school called Cascade Midway Academy.
