UPDATED, 6:20 p.m.: Britney Spears took her younger sister Jamie Lynn to task in an Instagram post published Saturday.
“I do not like that my sister showed up at a price show and performed MY SONGS for remixes !!!!!,” she wrote. “My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!!”
Spears seemed to be referring to a performance by Jamie Lynn at the Radio Disney Music Awards 2017, where she herself was honored with the Icon Award. Her latest Instagram salve seemed to clarify a post she had published earlier in the day about “people closest” to her who she feels have let her down.
Jamie Lynn Spears has been criticized by internet critics for her silence on the subject of her sister’s conservatory. She first took to Instagram to address Britney’s legal situation on June 28, saying she “only loved, loved and supported” her sister and that she could not make money at her conservatory.
With her latest Instagram post, Britney Spears also fired shots at her father Jamie, reiterating her intention to retire from live performance. “I’m not performing on any stages anytime soon where my dad handles what I’m wearing, saying, doing or thinking !!!!” she wrote. “I’ve been doing that for the last 13 years … I’d much rather share videos … from my living room.”
Then there are some of Spears’ followers who have criticized the dance videos she makes at home. “You’re lucky I’m posting something at all … if you do not like what you see, please follow me !!!” Spears wrote in response. “If you do not want to see my precious ass dancing in my living room, or if it does not conform to your standards … go and read a *** book !!!!”
Spears was first placed under a conservatory, partially overseen by his father Jamie, back in 2008 after a series of public incidents and hospitalizations. She asked Los Angeles Judge Brenda Penny to terminate the conservatory on June 28. As her legal battle continues, it recently took a turn in her favor when she got her to appoint her own lawyer.

Britney Spears took to Instagram on Friday against the “closest people” who could not help her in her time. The announcement was apparently aimed at those who only recently began speaking on her behalf about her conservatory.
No names were mentioned, but Spears said they “know who you are.”
“Never forget who ignored you when you needed them and who helped you before you even had to ask,” the post read.
