Now you can give your child his own unique identity by enrolling him in Baal Aadhaar. According to the information of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), even a newborn child can be registered for Aadhaar.
A child under 5 years old gets a blue color Baal Aadhaar. Parents should note that no biometric data is required for children under 5 years of age. However, biometric update is mandatory at the ages of 5 and 15.

Also, no fingerprints and iris scans are taken when registering children under the age of 5, only a photo is taken.
What are the required documents?
According to the information provided by UIDAI, to enroll your child in Aadhaar, all you need is the birth certificate or the hospital discharge certificate and the Aadhaar of one of the parents.
Other documents that can be used as proof of identity are passport, PAN card, voter ID, driver’s license, etc.

How to apply?
Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website and select the Aadhaar Card registration option.
Step 2: The parent must fill in the required information, such as the child’s name, the guardian/parent’s telephone number, and other biometric information related to the child and the guardian/parent.
Step 3: Fill in the demographic information such as home address, city, state and others.
Step 4: Submit all data.
Step 5: Now select Appointment option for Aadhaar card registration.
Step 6. Check the nearest enrollment center and secure the appointment. Bring all necessary supporting documents, such as Proof of Identity (PoI), Proof of Address (PoA), Proof of Relationship (PoR) and Date of Birth (DoB).
