Asian giant goat hamsters have been found in BC, near the US border

The Washington Department of Agriculture says authorities in BC have found an Asian giant goat hamster.

It was found somewhere near the border between Canada and the United States in a Japanese beetle trap, close to where nests were exterminated in the state of Washington.

In a tweet, the department says it was something close to where the shipowners were found in the United States.

Officials on both sides of the border will now work together to learn more about where the goat ham came from.

Several nests were found in Washington State this summer.

The Daily Hive has contacted the BC Ministry of Agriculture for more details.
