Narrow houses are both curious and seductive. These backfill homes occupy tiny pieces of ‘remnants’ of land in urban areas and are shrunken Alice in Wonderland see with rectangular layouts.

Skinny homes offer design challenges, but offer great creative opportunities to maximize their diminutive reasons. Extensions can add space in any direction, and perforated walls can screw up light levels and expand sight lines, while good storage is a must.

Here we have found three whip-thin renovated homes in London and New York, which appear much more spacious than their facades might suggest.
