This map shows the current evacuation order in place in Merritt relating to last November’s flooding.
The City of Merritt has lifted the evacuation order for more than 200 homes impacted by November’s flooding.
According to a bulletin posted online on the city’s website, 204 residences were removed Tuesday from the evacuation order, leaving 66 properties still under evacuation order.
The Coldwater River spilled its banks following an intense atmospheric river rain storm in mid-November, destroying municipal infrastructure and damaging private property.
The entire city was placed on evacuation order on Nov. 15, but the vast majority of residents were allowed to return home in the weeks that followed.
